Our co-founder and publisher Jihad Yazigi has been featured in an AFP article on rising taxation in Syria.
In the article, titled "Syria government scrapes barrel as economic woes bite," Yazigi says that:
"The regime has less and less foreign currency, revenues have dried up, the war effort is becoming more taxing and its two main donors, Russia and Iran, have their own financial problems."
