On Saturday, four regime troops were wounded by an improvised explosive device (IED) in southern Suweida province, local sources said.
The IED targeted a military bus in the countryside of the main stronghold of a Druze community.
No rebel group claimed responsibility for the attack.
Suweida, home to about 700,000 people mostly from the Druze minority, is currently in a state of chaos right under the nose of local factions and Assad forces deployed in all cities and towns of the province.
Residents of Suweida have voiced concerns of mounting cases of kidnappings by gangsters, local news site reported.
Suweida 24 said 18 people were kidnapped for ransom in October by gangs from the Druze stronghold in southern Syria, a high rate of violations.
