Syria's ministerial committee overseeing the implementation of a political program to end the crisis in the country met Monday, warning that terrorist groups in the country would face annihilation by the Syrian army.
Chairman of the committee, Prime Minister Wael al-Halqi met with members of the politburo of the Democratic Socialist Unionist Party, headed by General Fadllalah Nasser-Eddin.
Halqi denounced the bombings which rocked the southern Turkish city of Reyhanli Saturday, saying they targeted the friendly people of Turkey, insisting that ''agents affiliated to [Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayip] Erdogan's government were behind the "cowardly terrorist attacks.''
He said the Turkish government has become a source of instability and concern for neighboring countries and the region, due to its "hostile policies and card shuffling" following the "major defeats the armed infidel groups have suffered at the hands of the Syrian army.''
Halqi said mercenary terrorist groups operating in Syria had two options: Either return to where they came from, or be killed by the Syrian armed forces.
"The government's doors are wide open to whoever wants to return to the right path,'' Halqi said.
Halqi reiterated the government's sincerity in engaging with all political, social and opposition forces inside and outside Syria which believe in a "national solution," and suggested that armed Syrians operating in the country are becoming convinced that a major conspiracy at play in the country.
