The Syrian crisis can be resolved through dialogue between government and the genuine opposition, but not with terrorist extremists groups, Iran believes, according to the Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Abbas Araqchi.
In a statement to the Iranian Students News agency (ISNA), Araqchi also said on Sunday that the foreign policies of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and Foreign Minister Mohammad Jawad Zarif would open new chapter in relations with foreign countries.
"The policies and visions of Iranian officials are clear. We have to wait and see how the other side would respond to these policies," he said.
