After three days of continuous clashes that killed more than 25 civilians in the Waer neighborhood of Homs, a truce has been agreed between rebels and Assad army.
Activists reported to Zaman al-Wasl that the truce is a sign of victory because Army troops requested it.
The latest skirmishes took place near to Elreqa, a pro-Assad town predominantly inhabited by Shiia, where rebels have captured a strategic district close to the town.
Two day ago, pro-Assad militiamen, nicknamed "Shabbiha" breached similar truce in Waer, which was supposed to open all blocked routes to allow people to break a siege after three weeks of suffering, local sources told Zaman al-Wasl.
Meanwhile, a prominent rebel commander in Waer, Abdul Karim al-Adawi was killed during the latest clashes with the army.
