Russian Aid Delivered to Displaced in Tartous: Monitor

Russian humanitarian aid consisting of about two tons of flour and 435 food packages was distributed to displaced people in the coastal Tartous province on Thursday.

A representative from the Russian ceasefire monitoring center at the Heimemem airbase said the aid targeted the locals in the Vanguards Camp in the Hisheh area, and the flour was delivered to the local bakery there.

Russia has provided hundreds of tons in humanitarian aid to people in Syria over the past months.

Russian and Syrian aircrafts also dropped aid in a number of cities and areas besieged by terrorist groups, including Deir-ez-Zor city in eastern Syria and the towns of Kefraya and Foua in the northern Idleb province.
