The Russian flagship Admiral Kuznetsov aircraft carrier arrived Saturday off the Syrian coast to reinforce Russia’s military presence in the country, according to official sources.
Commander Sergei Artamonov told Russia 1 TV that the ships are now in the “designated zone” in the eastern Mediterranean and are jointly carrying out tasks, maneuvering to the west of the Syrian coast.
