Rebel police in Aleppo arrested a criminal group leader, who claimed affiliation to the Free Syrian Army, after increasing reports of acts of kidnap and robbery.
The Shariah Authority, which was ordered to arrest the leader of the Aleppo Mujahidin Brigade, said: "We will not allow for such acts and will punish anyone who tries to defame the FSA in their efforts to protect the Syrian people and who sacrifice their blood and life to liberate Syria."
Two civilians from the Bustan al-Qasr area of Aleppo were freed by FSA police after being kidnapped by the Mujahidin brigade.
