Interior Minister Mohammad al-Shaar met with political, social, religious, and economic figures in Hama city on Saturday to discuss issues related to boosting the city’s security, economic and social conditions.
Participants called for facilitating the return of the locals of Morek town, compensating for damaged property, monitoring prices, and increasing the amount of fuel allocated for the city.
Shaar said that Syria is at the cusp of victory, and that state establishments are preparing for the reconstruction stage, stressing the need to raise social awareness among youths and children, while dealing properly with those who tamper with civilians’ safety.
The minister also said the police and internal security forces are ready to coordinate with chambers of industry and commerce to secure the transport of goods and protect them from theft.
