Syrian rebels have made advances northeast of Aleppo, taking control of al-Mayyasat hill amid reports of dozens killed and 14 arrested, activists say.
Rebel feeds on social media said the recent advance was an effective gain as rebels foiled regime attempts to surround the war-torn city of Aleppo following fierce fighting.
Meanwhile, rebels intend to capture the strategic neighboring district of al-Braij and Sheikh Najjar Industrial city.
More than 220,000 people have been killed since the conflict in Syria erupted in March 2011.
