At least 18 members of the regime forces from coastal province of Lattakia have been killed since mid September, a pro-regime news feeds reported.
The death toll included five army officers. Most of them were killed in clashes with the Islamic State in the southern province of Suweida and eastern province of Deir ez-Zor.
The Alawite dominated areas are still the main supplier of manpower for Bashar al-Assad's army.
After seven years of brutal conflict, over 125,000 pro-regime soldiers have been killed, according to local monitoring groups.
