Syrian Kurds have succeeded in mediation between the rebels in Aleppo and Shiite militias in the villages of Nubul and al-Zahra, two Shiite villages near the second biggest city in Syria.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said that the two parties started negotiations, after reciprocal kidnapping had become a threatening phenomenon in the region.
SOHR added the success of the negotiations will uncover the regime’s claims that it protects the minorities.
The two parties released several hostages, SOHR added, and the coming hours will witness signing the final agreement.
