The Islamic State (IS) has executed a dentist in al-Mayadin, in the countryside of Deir El-Zor ten days after her disappearance.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that IS informed the father of Dr. Rua Thiab of her death when he arrived in ash-Shaddadeh city in the countryside of Hassakeh, searching for his daughter. They told him she had been executed on charges of dealing with the regime.
The doctor had disappeared with four of her colleagues from her clinic in Mayadin.
Activists said that she was executed because she was treating men, while the fate of her colleagues is still unknown.
