A senior Syrian army commander was killed on Monday when an explosive device detonated near his car in the neighborhood of al-Waer, Homs, activists and monitoring group said.
Brigadier General Nasha't Hajoj, commander of the T-4 military air base, 90 kilometers east of Homs, was killed by an improvised explosive device planted near his car, activists said.
No rebel group has yet claimed responsibility for the assassination.
