Two Jihadist Groups Sign Reconciliation Ggreement in Aleppo

Two Islamist rebel groups Sunday agreed to end hostilities in Aleppo, according to a statement seen by Zaman al-Wasl.

The reconciliation agreement is between Jaish al-Muhajereen wa al-Ansar, a jihadist group made up of mostly foreign fighters led by Salah al-Din al-Chechani, and the brigade of Badr Martyrs.

Both groups agreed to swap their detainees as well as to unit all efforts to fight Bashar Assad's forces.

Meanwhile, the Syrian death toll rose to 140,000 people, over 7,000 of them children, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said on Saturday.
