Electricity Minister Imad Khamis discussed support for Syria’s electricity sector at a meeting with the regional director of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Samuel Rizk on Thursday.
Khamis said the Syrian state has provided large support for investments in the electricity sector, claiming that many martyrs had lost their lives in order to supply energy to every Syrian citizen.
The United Nations representative voiced appreciation for the ministry’s cooperation with UNDP efforts to back Syria’s electricity sector.
