Local Administration Minister Hussein Makhlouf and Representative of the World Food Program (WFP) in Syria, Kenneth Crossley, and the accompanying delegation, discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the two sides.
Makhlouf highlighted the possibility of benefiting from WFP support to guarantee a rapid response to displaced returned to their homes in several regions, including the city of Maarat al-Numan, as well as early recovery and restoration of basic services projects
He pointed out the importance of continuing to provide food aid, expanding livelihood projects in various sectors and increasing support to rural areas in parallel with the implementation of various nutrition programs.
For his part, Crossley pointed out the need for coordination between the two sides to implement the mechanism developed for the distribution of food aid.
He hoped to achieve more cooperation to improve response to the needs in Syria.
