President al-Assad: we vow to abide by al-Bouti’s real Islam thoughts

President Bashar al-Assad has condoled on martyrdom of scholar Dr. Mohammad Saed Ramadan al-Bouti who was assassinated yesterday in a terrorist explosion occurred inside al-Iman Mosque in Damascus.

President Bashar al-Assad has condoled  on martyrdom of scholar Dr. Mohammad Saed Ramadan al-Bouti who was assassinated yesterday  in a terrorist explosion occurred inside al-Iman Mosque in Damascus.

 

In a cable of condolences, the president said: "With deep grief mixed with strength, I condole myself and the Syrian people on the martyrdom of the scholar Dr. Mohammad Saed Ramadan al-Bouti , one of the prominent figures in Syria and the Islamic world. He was a man and expressed the real image of Islam …he was martyred while he was teaching people goodness and meaning of real religion."

 

"Omayyad Mosque's platform and the whole Islamic world would miss you as you conveyed the real message of Islam."

 

The cable noted the late scholar was killed because his words were against takfiri and extremist ideas that aim to torpedo principles of Islam.

 

President al-Assad pledged adherence to the late Dr. al-Bouti's thoughts that unmask the reality of takfiri ideas.

 

He gave condolences to the scholar Dr. al-Bouti's family and all martyrs' families in Syria, asking God to have mercy upon their souls and grant patient to their relatives.

 

One-day Public mourning

 

In the same context, the cabinet announced one-day public mourning on Saturday (March, 23rd, 2013) over the soul of martyr al-Bouti and all Syria's martyrs' souls.

 

The announcement comes upon directives of President al-Assad.
