The Syrian presidential delegation to Iran, headed by Prime Minister Wael al-Halqi, to congratulate the new Iranian president, Hassan Rouhani on his election had important outcomes for the Syrian people, the Premier said Tuesday.
In a statement at the Cabinet building in Damascus, Halqi said that the new Iranian leadership stressed their commitment to offer ongoing support and assistance to the Syrian people.
He said the Iranian government values the sacrifices made by the Syrian people in face of a conspiracy aimed at undermining Syria's national unity, security and stability.
The Premier said talks with Iranian officials followed up on all agreements made across economic, commercial, oil and health sectors.
