Ugarit TV channel began broadcasting on Wednesday from Latakia, on the northwestern coast of Syria.
The local channel airs political and cultural programs.
Minister of Information Omran al-Zoubi said on air that all of Syria’s sons need to confront the current difficult circumstances and challenges.
In a phone call with the channel, Zoubi said that the staff of Ugarit has worked hard in recent months to launch the new media outlet in the new year, adding that Karameh radio station will be launched in Sweida on Wednesday to cover the southern region.
Zoubi praised the soldiers of the Syrian army, saying that their sacrifices will not go in vain.
