Mekdad Says Syria Ready to Offer Relief in Yarmouk

Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Faisal Mekdad has reaffirmed Syria's commitment to facilitate aid and help the Palestinians in Yarmouk camp in Damascus, solve the crisis there and ensure the return of the families who have been displaced by the armed terrorist groups.

Mekdad discussed the situation in Yarmouk and other Palestinian camps on Saturday with Ambassador Anwar Abdulhadi, Director of the Political Department of the Palestinian Liberation Organization in Damascus.

Mekdad expressed Syria's appreciation for the position of the Palestinian leadership in support of Syria's unity, stability and the policy of non-interference in Syria's internal affairs.

Abdulhadi, for his part, expressed gratitude for the Syrian government for facilitating relief aid that helped ease the plight of Yarmouk residents.

He reiterated his call for resolving the crisis in Syria through a Syrian-Syrian dialogue and without foreign interference.
