Morning Session Between Brahimi, Regime Concludes

The two hour session was held separately from the opposition

The morning session of talks between Syria's official delegation to Geneva II  and the U.N. envoy to Syria, Lakhdar Brahimi concluded at 2:30pm on Monday.

The two-hour session was held separately from the Coalition delegation.

Syria's official delegation submitted a draft statement condemning the Maan massacre in Hama countryside at the start of the morning  session.

The delegation said the "disgraceful massacre" confirms that some countries' agents are still perpetrating terrorist acts ignoring all political efforts.

A SANA delegate reported Syria's official delegation called on the U.N., through its envoy Brahimi, to adopt a "crystal clear "position at the Geneva meeting towards this massacre and the previous massacres committed by the terrorist groups against the Syrian people.

The delegation called on the U.N. to oblige the countries supporting terrorism to halt this policy through implementing the U.N. Security Council's resolutions.

The SANA delegate added that Syria's official delegation reiterated that any political talks should be held after the appropriate climate to combat terrorism is established.
