Voter Registration Abroad Extended

The deadline has been extended to 21 May

The deadline for registration of names on electoral lists for Syrians living abroad has been extended to 21 May, seven days before voting starts in the presidential election.

 

The Presidential Election Committee at the Foreign and Expatriates Ministry agreed to extend the deadline, upon request of many Syrians residing outside the country who failed to register their names by the previous deadline of 16 May.

 

The registration of names, which started on 28 April takes place at the headquarters of the Syrian embassies in the countries of residence and can be done via  fax, mail or email with the necessary identification information.

 

Voting in the presidential election inside Syria is scheduled for 3 June.
