Six Million Children Suffering Poverty, Homelessness in Syria: WHO

Delivery of vaccines and aid is difficult, report says

The World Health Organization and the United Nations Children's Fund UNICEF said in a report released on Tuesday that the conflict in Syria has imposed restrictions making the delivery of humanitarian aid, including vaccines, very difficult.

UNICEF reported that nearly six million Syrian children are living in miserable conditions in the country, because of poverty and homelessness.

UNICEF added that about 1.5 million more children are now living as refugees in neighboring countries.
