PM Inaugurates Homs Projects Worth 5.443 Billion

Under the auspices of President Bashar al-Assad, Prime Minister Wael al-Halki on Wednesday inaugurated the fifth and final stage of the youth housing project, the final stage of the savings housing project, and an emergency department in the Mukharam Hospital in Homs city, with an estimated overall value of 5.443 billion SP.

 

The final stages of the housing projects involve building 432 youth housing apartments and 482 low-cost housing apartments valued at 5 billion SP.

 

The emergency room at Mukharam Hospital includes five operation rooms, one ICU, one dialysis unit, incubators, lab, radiology department, cardiography unit, a dispensary, and rooms for patients.

 

Premier Halki also visited and inspected a number of government, services, health, and industry facilities in Homs province, including Cerda Pharma pharmaceuticals company, which produces over 10,000 IV bags per day and employs 70 workers, the Syrian-European Heavy Industries Complex which produces around 300 electric-power turbines per year and employs around 400 people, and the Modern Glass Industries Company which produces around 110 tons of glass products per day and employs over 200 workers.
