Egypt Denies Visa to Opposition Deputy Before Cairo Talks

Opposition Deputy Hisham Marwa is refused an Egyptian visa amid plans to hold opposition meetings in Cairo

Egyptian authorities have refused to grant Syria's opposition vice president a visa as he plans to hold talks with Syrian opponents in Cairo.


Deputy of the Syrian National Coalition Hisham Marwa is yet to recieve a visa to enter Egypt in order to meet the National Coordination Body (SNCB) in Cairo, a source has revealed.


Days ago, key opposition groups revealed an agreement to set an agenda for a Syrian dialogue.   


The Coalition has confirmed its boycott of the upcoming Moscow talks, declaring its willingness to meet with the SNCB in Cairo under certain conditions.
