Non-state Employees to Receive Monthly Compensation

Minister of Labor Khalaf Sleiman al-Abdullah issued a decision on Thursday granting monthly compensation of SYP 4,000 to non-state employees.

The decision covers employees working in the private sector, Arab and foreign companies, cooperative and joint sectors, vocational syndicates, popular organizations and licensed private associations and establishments, in addition to contract employees.

The monthly increase is exempted from any deductions. The decision came five days after President Bashar al-Assad issued legislative decree No. 7 for 2015 granting a compensation of SYP 4,000 on monthly salaries for all state employees.
