Russian Air Strikes Target 86 ISIS Sites in Syria

Moscow says bombings destroyed ISIS command posts, camps and weapons depots in Raqqa, Hama, Idleb, Lattakia and Aleppo

Russian air forces struck 86 targets of the Islamic State (ISIS) in Raqqa, Hama, Idleb, Lattakia and Aleppo in the past 24 hours, Russia’s Defense Ministry announced on Tuesday.

Ministry spokesperson Igor Konashenkov said Su-34, Su-24M and Su-25SM warplanes carried out 88 sorties against 86 terrorist infrastructure targets.

The strikes destroyed command posts, ammunition and armament depots, vehicles, and plants for manufacturing explosives, field camps and terrorist bases, he added.

Konashenkov noted that Su-30 warplanes also took part in the operations.
