Eastern Ghouta Representatives Announce Willingness to Embrace Reconciliations

Representatives from Eastern Ghouta in the countryside of Damascus announced on Sunday their willingness to embrace local reconciliation in the area, adding that some residents are afraid to leave the area for fear their homes might be “occupied by strangers”.

During a meeting with the People Assembly’s National Reconciliation Committee on Sunday, locals requested the regime guarantee safe exit for families from Ghouta and the urgent preparation of makeshift centers for necessary humanitarian relief.

Head of the National Reconciliation Committee Omar Ousi said it would be possible to supply the necessary guarantees to those who are willing to have their legal status settled and want to return to normal life.
