Mortar Shells Target Aleppo Neighborhoods, Killing 4 Civilians

Several civilians were killed and dozens more were wounded a number of shells fell on the Aleppo neighborhoods of Nile Street and Mogambo on Wednesday, December 9.

Shahed Ayan Network said four people were killed and about 37 others were injured after 17 shells struck the districts. The network collected its findings from the University Hospital of Aleppo, which received the wounded. Most shops in Nile Street remained closed, while all schools in Nile Street, Mogambo, Khalidiya and as-Sabil have been temporarily suspended, the network reported.

Official Syrian news agency SANA reported, "four citizens were killed and 21 were injured when terrorist groups targeted residential neighborhoods in the city of Aleppo with mortars."
