Syrian Air Force Attacks ISIS Positions in Hama, Homs Provinces

Air raids target militants in the eastern countryside of Homs and the north-east of Hama on Tuesday

The Syrian army and air force continued to target terrorist positions across the country on Tuesday, inflicting heavy casualties on militants and destroying vehicles and equipment.

Warplanes carried out intensive sorties against militants affiliated to the Islamic State group in the eastern countryside of central Homs province, destroying a convoy of vehicles and a number of mortar launchers to the north of Palmyra City, around Futat and in the surroundings of the Shaer oil field.

Strikes were carried out on fortified positions in the towns of Hwaises and south Jib al-Jarrah, killing a number of militants while also destroying hideouts and machinegun-equipped vehicles.

In the northeastern countryside of Hama, air raids also destroyed terrorist vehicles in the village of Alyia and to the east of the Ethrayia-Khanaser road in the northeastern countryside.
