Property Owners Affected by Terrorism May Be Exempt From Reconstruction Fees: Cabinet

Ministers mull draft law which would absolve proprietors from paying for reconstruction if damage was caused by terrorism, state media reports

Syria’s cabinet met on Tuesday under Prime Minister Imad Khamis in a weekly session to discuss development and economic issues.

During the session, ministers debated a draft law aimed at exempting property owners from paying reconstruction and restoration fees if their real estate has been damaged by terrorism.

The cabinet also adopted a media policy targeted at introducing the details behind the National Project for Administrative Reform.
