European leaders have begun facing political difficulties over their stances toward the Syria crisis, Minister of Information Omran al-Zoubi said on Tuesday.
“Europeans have begun feeling the inconvenience of their political stance, based on their actions against the Syrian state,” Sputnik quoted Zoubi telling the Russian RIA Novosti News Agency.
Minister Zoubi added that the reason was “not the recognition of their own erroneous actions, but a fear for their own safety”, after January’s terror attack against French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo.
Since the beginning of the crisis, Damascus has routinely “warned that such a political approach to Syria will bear consequences like these”, Zoubi said.
