Washington Eases Sanctions on Opposition

Weeks after Paris and London lifted an arms embargo banning the sale of weapons to armed terrorist groups in Syria,Washington has decided to lift an economic blockade, allowing companies to make economic deals with armed groups.

The move signals a dramatic change in the approach of anti-Syria powers that, while banning deals with legitimate states and institutions, allows them to deal with outlawed groups.

Under the sanctions, Washington bans export of medicine, communication and other items, but declared on Wednesday it would ease these measures, however only to areas where armed groups are operating.

According to analysts, Washington adopted the measure only after it was surprised by the steadfast resolve of the Syrian state. It found itself compelled to step in to save its mercenaries who were rejected by the Syrian people as traitors.

It is clear that Washington sought to pillage Syrian resources, taking advantage of its networks with gunmen. The new U.S. measures provide licenses for oil transactions, facilitating the export of Syrian oil by these groups.

Observers believe that such steps complete the roles of the U.S. allies who now realize that the armed terrorist groups are on the verge of total collapse following a string of astounding achievements by the Syrian Arab Army on the ground.
