Syrian Information Minister, Omran al-Zoubi Sunday condemned the bombings which rocked the city ofReyhanliin southern Turkey as terrorist act and an affront to all moral, human and legal standards.
Zoubi offered condolences to the Turkish people for the martyrs and hopes for the recovery of the injured.
Zoubi also rejected accusations by the Turkish government that Syria was responsible for the bombings.
"Any accusation against Syria in any statement, explicit or implicit, by any Turkish official is completely rejected," Zoubisaisd in an address to the Intellectual Political Symposium, launched Sunday at the Assad National Library in Damascus.
Zoubi blamed the Turkish government, led by RecepTayyipErdogan,for the bombings, claiming Turkey had turned their border with Syria into a safehaven for international terrorists, and allowed Turkish civilians' houses, farms and properties to become a thoroughfare for terrorist groups operating in Syria.
He added that the Turkish government has been facilitating the delivery of weapons, explosive devices, car bombs, money and murderers into Syria.
"I call for Erdogan, as a murderer and shedder of blood, to step down," Zoubi said.
"I say to him that that it is not his right to boast out his glories at the expense of the blood of Turks and Syrians."
