Turkish forces targeted on Tuesday the vicinity of a Russian post between the village of Kishta’r and Faisal Mill in the northern countryside of Aleppo Governorate with artillery shells.
An informed source told North Press that Turkey shelled the post with seven shells without recording any casualties.
The Russian forces did not respond to the attack, as they only checked the targeted site and recorded the damage, according to the source.
Last Warning from Russia to SDF: Turkish Military Operation Coming
Since November 20th, the Turkish forces have conducted a large-scale and unprecedented air and ground bombardment against northern Syria.
In the days followed, nothing was spared from the Turkish shelling, including a base jointly run by the US-led Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Hasakah Governorate.
On November 23rd, a Turkish drone struck the joint Russian- SDF al-Mabaqer base in the town of Tel Tamr, north of Hasakah, in which an SDF fighter lost his life and three others were injured.
On November 26th, several protests were organized, most notably those that took place in front of bases of the Global Coalition and Russia in Qamishli, northeast Syria, where protesters handed letters to U.S. and Russian leaders there.
Protesters demanded the abovementioned parties take firm stances regarding Turkey’s recent attacks, accusing Russia of granting Turkey a green light to launch airstrikes on northern Syria.
On November 28th, the Russian Military Police (MP) cancelled a joint patrol with the Turkish forces that were scheduled to be conducted in the eastern countryside of Kobani, northern Syria, due to Turkish military escalation in the area, according to an exclusive source.
