Landing in the Lebanese capital en route to Syria, Chairman of the Expatriates Gathering for Syria, Omran al-Khatib, voiced the organization’s support for the Assad government in its war against international terrorism, praising the Syrian army for its sacrifices in the field.

Meeting with the head of the Independent Nasserite Movement, Mustafa Hamdan, in Beirut on Monday, Khatib voiced the delegation’s support for Syria, its army, its leadership and the Lebanese Hezbollah forces who are fighting global terrorism on behalf of the free world.

The visiting delegation of Syrian émigrés included activists and a group of global youths from 12 nations, among them politicians, analysts, journalists, artists and activists.

Members of the delegation criticized the European governments’ erroneous policies towards Syria, particularly the governments of France, Britain, and the US, which support terrorism and participate in the shedding of the Syrian blood.
