Hezbollah Secretary General, Hassan Nasrallah, said that the proclamation by US President Donald Trump regarding the occupied Syrian Golan represents a scorn and contempt for the Arab and Islamic world and all international resolutions, which affirm that Golan is a Syrian territory occupied by the Israeli enemy.
“Trump continues to show contempt for international law and the resolutions of the international community in service to the interests of the Israeli occupation entity,” Nasrallah added in a speech on Tuesday.
He stressed that the proclamation indicates the inability of international institutions to protect the rights of people, including the restoration of an occupied land.
Nasrallah went on to say that the silence of the international community, particularly the Arab and Islamic worlds, following Trump’s announcement that Jerusalem is the capital for the occupation entity, emboldened him take the risk regarding the Golan.
