Information Minister Omran al-Zoubi reiterated on Monday that the political leadership in Syria is still committed to the political solution, which it has called for since the beginning of the crisis.
"The leadership also believes that the national dialogue is the essence of the political solution," Zoubi said in an address to mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of al-Thawra newspaper.
"The national dialogue between Syrians has no place for any Saudi, Gulf, Turkish, Lebanese, Jordanian or non-Syrian figures," the minister added.
"Syria in itself is a national identity which has its specifications and data and can be identified by its features," he said.
