Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Monday exchanged views over telephone with his Egyptian counterpart, Sameh Shoukry on key regional issues including the Syrian crisis, the Kremlin announced.
Issues of cooperation between Moscow and Cairo at the UN Security Council were also discussed, the Russian foreign ministry added, stressing that talks touched upon the required practical steps for deeper Russian-Egyptian cooperation.
