FSA Members Collaborating With Russia Against Rebels

Free Syrian Army (FSA) officers are known to be cooperating with Russian intelligence and providing crucial information on rebel factions to assist Moscow in its aerial campaign in the north and west of Syria, according to sources. Zaman al-Wasl has obtained the names of these suspected Russian agents in northern Syria.

A number of FSA officers in Turkey have provided sensitive information, including rebels' movements, bases, names and weapons. The leaks helped Moscow in its brutal aerial bombing that began on 30 September, killing around 1,000 people, including rebels.

Sources said that some FSA officers have strong ties with Egyptian intelligence and have visited Cairo on a number of occasions.
