Conditions are Ripe for Reconciliations in Southern Damascus: Haidar

National Reconciliations Minister Ali Haidar said that the field achievements of the Syrian army have pushed forward the local settlement process.

“There is no alternative to the return of state institutions in areas where the local reconciliations have been completed,” Haidar said during a meeting with the Palestinian Liberation Organization’s Syrian ambassador, Anwar Abdul Hadi.

The minister added that the atmosphere and conditions in the southern areas of Damascus, particularly Al-Hajar al-Aswad and the Yarmouk camp, are ripe for comprehensive reconciliations in a way that ensures the safe return of citizens to their homes.

For his part, the ambassador said that the terrorism which targeted Syria has served the interests of Israel, hailing the Syrian army’s role in combating terrorism and accelerating local reconciliations.
