A Turkish newspaper said Sunday that the Syrian President, Bashar Assad, has sought political refuge for himself and his family as a result of the conflict in Syria.
Sabah newspaper reported Turkish diplomatic sources saying that Ankara has evidence that Asmahas already left the country and that Assad himself is now searching for a country to shelter them.
Ankara said however it has no information about where Assad intends to go.
The Turkish Prime MinisterRecepTayipErdogan said two days ago he had heard the reports that Assad's wife and children had left the country, because their lives had been destroyed.
"We have heard from reliable sources that Assad'schildren have not attended school close to Presidential Palace for security reasons, and that they have been transferredto a Montessori school," the report said.
