Jordanian sources confirmed on Thursday that Syrian refugees returning from Jordan to Syria of their own accord is increasing, while the number of those entering Zaatari Camp in Jordan from Syria is decreasing.
"During the last two days, 644 Syrian refugees returned willingly to their homes," one source said.
Zaatari Camp meanwhile, with its poor conditions, has witnessed several fires and a number of deaths among Syrians, including children. The refugees have also suffered from rude and hostile treatment from the Jordanian security forces.
Observers in Jordan say that the U.N. is determined to set up more camps for Syrians in the country, reflecting a deliberate campaign to keep Syrians displaced.
