Kurdish Self-administration Sends Aid Convoy to Southern Hassakeh Countryside

The Kurdish self-administration on Wednesday sent a convoy of about 15 medium-sized vehicles carrying rice and bearing the flags of the Movement for a Democratic Society (TEV-DEM) from the city of Hassakeh to its southern countryside.

Civilians from the northern city of Hassakeh told ARA News that aid convoys were sent by the administration to people of the villages which have been liberated from the Islamic State group, specifically in the Al-Shadadi southern countryside toward Markadeh, bordering the northern Deir-ez-Zor administrative boundary. They said that the administration also sent flour and drinking water urgently after the liberation of these areas from ISIS.

The self-administration has provided basic foodstuff as urgent aid following every advance by the Western-backed Syrian Democratic Forces at the expense of the Islamic State group.
