Head of the Syrian state-building opposition group, Louay Hussein has renounced his nomination by western diplomats for participation in Geneva conference for peace talks over the Syrian conflict, according to Zaman al-Wasl correspondent.

The veteran dissident denied receiving any official invitation by the Syrian opposition or by international bodies.

Hussein said he refused to participate in any Western “cooked” negotiations.

"I will not attend unless my presence will affect on the negotiations because I refuse any international dictates,” Hussein reportedly said.

Meanwhile Ali Sadreddine Bayanouni, former Controller General of the Muslim Brotherhood in Syria will represent the group in Geneva II, according to senior official in the group.

Bayanouni’s participation depends on the conference framework, the official said, adding that we “still need a preliminary draft of Geneva II, the source said.
