FSA Says Assad Troops, Hezbollah Expelled from Northern Aleppo

The Free Syrian Army claims to have expelled Assad's troops and Hezbollah militants from North Aleppo, after fierce clashes inflicted heavy losses to loyalist forces, Commander of the Military Council in Aleppo has told Zaman al-Wasl.

Colonel Abdul-Jabbar al-Aqidi denied arming claims and described the daily progress of FSA in north Aleppo.

"The media has neglected that. It didn't show the real truth, they only focus on extremist groups now to try to defame the FSA,"Aqidi said.

Regarding attempts by the Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) to establish a local administration in the north,Aqidi said he appreciated the Kurds and stressed the Arab-Kurdish brotherhood. However, he pointed out that this approach does not serve the revolution, nor the Syrian community.
