Three children were among more than 15 people killed in the neighborhood of Tariq al-Bab, Aleppo when Syrian government airplanes dropped explosive barrel bombs over the city on Sunday.
Dozens of people were also burned and injured when a helicopter dropped an explosive barrel over Muyassa Street, in the centre of Tariq al-Bab.
An AMC reporter said a whole family of eight was killed, burned inside a vehicle, while three buildings and ten cars were damaged in the targeted area.
The barrel fell on a street full of cars, one of which was transporting fuel, causing others to catch fire.
People of the neighborhood expressed anger when firefighters arrived late.
Abu Yazan, an official with the Civil Defense Organization in al-Muyassar neighborhood said: "Three children burnt in front of our eyes and we couldn’t do anything, the Civil Defense tried to save them but the firefighters were late because of the shortage of fuel. We can't buy fuel anymore because the governorate didn’t pay the money allocated to buy it".
Since the morning, the neighborhoods of Muyassar, al-Jazmati, Bab al-Hadid and as-Salihin were hit with the explosive barrels. The helicopters and planes are still dropping explosive barrels on the residential areas late Sunday.
