Coalition calls on the international community to uphold its responsibilities to protect and defend civilians
Statement on Latest Humanitarian Efforts

The Syrian National Coalition thanks all nations for their commitment of $1.5 billion towards Syrian humanitarian relief efforts.  This aid will be distributed through the Coalition's affiliated institutions, in coordination with Aid Coordination Unit.

The Coalition confirms that it will accept any political solution which puts an end to the continued bloodshed. The political solution should achieve goals of justice, the toppling of the Assad regime, and the establishment of a true democracy.

The Assad regime is guilty of killing civilians through its use of chemical weapons and aerial shelling.  It has been made clear that Assad and his war machine are guilty committing terrorist acts in Syria. It has therefore become the responsibility of the international community to combine their efforts to fight such terrorism in order to establish lasting peace in Syria.

The Coalition calls on the United Nations to renew their commission of inquiry into the use of chemical weapons in Syria, to visit the liberated areas and evaluate soil samples for confirmation of Assad forces' use of chemical weapons.

We ask for Mercy for our martyrs, health for our wounded, and freedom for our detainees.
