Army Claims Significant Headway in Homs

Government claims dozens of IEDs were dismantled in the operation

An official source said Thursday that army units have made considerable headway in the battle against armed terrorist groups in the Khalidieh neighborhood of Homs city.

The source said that the army has gone beyond the Umawiyeen school area and the buildings to the eastern side of the neighborhood.

Dozens of terrorists were killed, and tens of IEDs that were planted in the streets and buildings were dismantled, the source added.
